🧑🎨 Make a book with your own character
Have a character design already? Save it as a reusable card and use it as a visual reference when creating your illustrated book.
This example uses a Chinese story, but you can write your story in English — or any language you like.

Open Designs → New design
In the left menu open Tools → Designs, then click New design to create a reusable character card.

Describe your character
Make it a Character card and add a name, short identity and default outfit. Save this design as the visual reference for the character's appearances in your book.

Upload your design image
Pick Image → the local/upload tab → choose your character design file.

The card carries your reference
Your uploaded design is now the card's reference image, ready to reuse when illustrating the book.

Start a book and bind your character
Open Make a book, paste your story, and in Story Assets click your character's green chip — it is auto-matched by name and binds your card.

Set pages, style, and Multi-ref I2I
Choose 3 pages, a language and a visual style, and set the image mode to Multi-ref I2I — the mode that anchors generation to your reference image.

Create the book
Press Create Book to start.

Confirm the cost
You confirm the cost before any Gems are spent — the page images, plus any missing references for characters the story adds.

Your character, every page
Review your character throughout the finished book. In this example, follow Little Red Riding Hood through the forest, the meeting with the fox and the scene by the fire, using the saved design for comparison.

Download as PDF
Open Book Tools → Export And Share → Compile PDF to prepare your book for download.
