🌍 How to Choose a Different Video Language — Portuguese Example
Choose the language your characters speak and your signs and captions are in. This example makes a short episode in Portuguese: Clara waits in a café, and Miguel brings her a key.
Video language applies to every clip of the project. Check it each time you start a new episode: changing it later does not change clips you have already made.
- 1
Open Make a movie
From the left menu choose Make a movie and stay on Quick Video Story. Write your story, with its spoken lines, in “Story, script, or action request”. This example's story is written in Portuguese.
- 2
Choose the video language
Below the video settings, open Video language and pick the language you want. Every clip speaks that language and shows its signs and captions in it; Auto uses the language your story is written in. This example uses Portuguese, with Seedance 2.0 Mini · audio, 720p and 16:9. Keep my writing keeps your own spoken lines exactly as you wrote them, so with that option write them in the language you pick.
- 3
Set the length and develop the script
Story settings can take a Target length in minutes: 0.5 means about 30 seconds. It is a target, not an exact length; the finished film depends on its clips. Leave it empty to let the story set its own pace. Click Save settings, then Run stage 1: Develop Script, and read the script.
- 4
Prepare the reference pictures
In References, click Run stage 2: Generate References. There is one card for each character, place and key object. The total is on the Generate References button before anything is charged; press it to draw the pictures.
- 5
Check the characters and places
Wait until every card shows Ready, then click each thumbnail to check it: here Clara, Miguel, the café and the key. Then click Continue to Plan & Generate.
- 6
Plan and generate the clips
Every clip card shows its spoken lines, its duration, its reference pictures and its price. If clips are not planned yet, Plan only plans them and shows the price without making any video. Don't make a clip shorter than its lines and actions need. The total is on the Generate Videos button before anything is charged; press it to generate. Prices change with the model and settings.
- 7
Watch and choose
In Review & Select, play every clip and check the language, the spoken lines, the characters and the order. Remove from Final Movie leaves a clip out. When you are happy, click Assemble selected videos.
- 8
Download your episode
When Final Movie shows the finished film, click Download to save it. This example came out at about 43 seconds. For the next episode, use the same character names, pick them under “Matched from your previous designs”, and check Video language again.
